    RD-M960 Jockey Wheels

I just came into possession of a '04 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Anniversary that has definitely seen better days. I am not wanting to put a lot of money into it but I will definitely need to spend some money to get it back on the trails.

My question today is in regards to the rear derailleur (RD-M960). When I went to clean the bike up, I noticed that the bearings in the jockey wheels were shot! I have been searching for a new set but not sure what to get as replacements.

    Question:
    1. These look to be around $20 for the set. Does anyone know where to get the set that I need? Is there a model number I should be looking for?

    2. For $30 more I can get the entire XT M-772 shadow derailleur. Would the newer derailleur be a better route?

    Let me know your thoughts!

Have you tried just cleaning up the bearings, and lubing appropriately?

This should bring to life an other-wise shot set of bearings.
