New question here. Will a Carbon Blur LTc rear triangle fit on an aluminum Blur LT2 front triangle??

    Strange question...

...But I have a cracked rear triangle and can get a carbon replacement. Will it fit? Unwise?? Thanks!

I believe it will, as I saw some pro who had a carbon rear triangle and an al front triangle because he cut down the seat tube on the al triangle, which you can't do on a carbon one.

I would imagine that it does . . . I'm guessing you have your eye on the eBay auction

Yep, you are correct.. The Ebay auction got me to think about this option..

I am also not the lightest person out there, and I would guess that the carbon swingarm would be be stronger then my cracked aluminum one... I am sick of breaking frame parts on my bikes (I broke three swingarms on my old Jamis Dakar for example). So anything I can do to avoid this happening again I am willing to invest in..

That's what the pro wanted--whatever his name was. A stronger rear, and a shorter seat tube to get the saddle way down for jumping.

Why not contact Santa Cruz with your question rather than reaching out to us forum fiends?

Certainly a valid point . . . but sometimes what SC recommends doesn't always jive with what has been done effectively

In that case, there was a thread a while back where Jamie Goldman had a carbon rear on his alum front.
