I went with Avy tune based on a few things (1) Avy tune is the sh!t; (2) the after market CCDBA did not seem like the best choice for the Bronson as there were a lot of people reporting problems with not getting full travel, being harsh, etc.; and these issues were confirmed by the fact CC released a Bronson specific CCDBA with a different negative spring so it took less force to activate: (3) Craig is the man; (4) the Bronson specific CCDBA is only available from Cane Creek and costs $695 - maybe you can get it from Biker Bob also, not sure what his price is; (5) Avy tuned shock is less than $200 shipped; (6) using the CCDBA means you lose use of water bottle cage in main triangle and I hate using a pack. You should also consider the DB Inline which you can get for a reasonable cost, and won't result in loss of water bottle cage use if that matters to you. Avy tune is really really good though.

The DBA cs is fine on a bronson; Mine is awesome.

If you know what you want the AVY tune is cheaper and lighter.

I went DBA because I was unsure exactly what I wanted out of the shock and I like to tinker.
*if you go DBa get normal vol air can (HV is too linear IMO).

The inline would be a good option, but just order some extra volume reducers for the air can (it's hi vol can).

    Thx for the reply
I should have mentioned the cc dbacs is the Bronson specific shock. I also tried a regular stock cc dba Cs and thought is was crap. The bronson specific dba Cs is much nicer than stock
Want to get some input about the Avy fox ctd mod compared to the Bronson specific cc dba shock...thx

Can you elaborate on the difference between the DBA tunes (bronson Vs. Normal)?

Also the Bronson-specific shock is discussed in another thread, along with the original and the inline. Bronson-specific shock gets mentioned first on page 4.
