Y'all think another hightower is coming after this? I wonder if it will be a 140mm and they drop the 150mm HTLT?

exactly why this thread should die. Then there will be an official release of the bike, and an official thread should be created so people aren't working off of speculation. OP does us a favor and deletes this thread.

From what my LBS told me this morning. "We're not supposed to talk about but who cares..." Also spoke with a friend who works for competitive and pretty much said the same. Ha, he told me were supposed to play dumb about it. So take it for what its worth. Allegedly by Friday or Saturday. Colors look really cool.

Why not create another thread to make sure you've annoyed everyone?

My LBS gave me the specs when I was there this morning. I too thought a 180 fork is pretty large. A friend of mine from Competitive told me similar things as well. They both said some time by the end of this week. We'll see.

I know it's really hard to believe, but there's a thread for this one as well.

I'm glad you're liking it. Cause according to you, I've got 4 more days to do this. And I've never seen a highly anticipated bike released on a Friday. Have you?

Well, obviously the source who told me today was wrong. But my friend from competitive was right on the dropouts being adjustable. So that gives the person the ability to run longer or shorter chainstays. I will correct the 180 as a front fork. While the bike has the ability to roll a 180 it will come with a 160mm fork. I won't mention color as that has been confirmed already.

I did catch this earlier today as well from Ben Cathro in his newest video. Some of you might know he has officially been sponsored by Santa Cruz. He said in an earlier video that he couldn't speak of the frame but he screwed that up today.

Someone asked him what color of Megatower he was going with. Here was Cathro's response: SDA Ae Forest... "Hah! Haven't got mine yet. Getting green, going 170mm on the fork and slamming it back in the dropouts. Will have a vid out early next week."

This confirms the bike does have adjustable dropouts to adjust chainstays. It also confirms if he is going to put a video out next week, then the bike comes out next week. I've read Monday or Tuesday in these threads. We'll see... But right now based on what Cathro says, the bike drops sometime next week.

Chainstay length adjustable, yes. Boost/SuperBoost swappable, no.

Despite the spelling of "Mega" in Megatower, I heard the delay in releasing the new bike was due to Trump threatening Santa Cruz with an executive order to stop them from using Mega in Megatower.
