    Tour Divide

Couldn't thnk of a better place to post this...

The Tour Divide begins "officially" Friday June 10. Good luck to all riders, particularly my friends Errin Vasquez and Erik Mathy.who are both rolling Fargos out of Banff, Alberta on their way to Antelope Wells, New Mexico.

Good luck all and be safe.

Truly a wealth of useless information.

    Right on...

Quite a ride indeed. In the saddle 15+ hours a day and climbing 200,000 ft. vertical over ~20 days is beyond amazing endurance.

I always look forward to this time of the year, Tour Divide and the podcasts, and watching RAAM racers ride through town.

There was a lot of discussion involving snow shoes, starting later and/or riding South-North
rather than the standard North-South. The amount of dedication, planning and sacrifice required to even attempt this race doesn't allow much, if any room for last minute adjustments.

Truly a wealth of useless information.

Thx for the info....guess it will be more insteresting trip than normal. I always wondered why the race was not south to north to help minimize the impact of snow.

Honestly don't know, there are folks who do it South-North, around 15 or so this year alone. With the type/amount of riding you do, I always figured you for a TDR candidate Doug.

A L-O-N-G Summer would work for me, one that would allow plenty of rest stops! I agree with you on work, it's always getting in the way of something!
