Thinking a dynamo on a carbon firestarter

I'm thinking of getting a dynamo wheel for my fargo that has the carbon firestarter. I'm not sure I want to make the full investment as the fork itself is pretty limiting in versatility (no fender or fr rack mounts) and the fact that it is a 15mm through axle would limit me to a through axle. It almost seems at though I would be limited in those aspects, as I have also been toying with the idea of the steel fork for those reasons.

I use the fargo for an all around commuting and on-off road touring. I'm almost thinking of going to the steel firestarter fork so I can add fr racks or fenders. With it being a QR fork too, I can use the wheel on my cross bike.

Just want to see if anyone has had the same thoughts and what you ended up doing. Thanks and I fully realize I am debating two things at once (buy the 15mm dynamo or buy a Qr dynamo and steel firestarter fork).

I saw that. Just not sure I want to invest in that size based on a fork (carbon firestarter) that doesn't have capabilities for racks or fenders. Just thinking long term on the bike. Thanks for the reply.

That adapter is not going to help your situation. That adapter, like the similar DT Swiss ones and others, permits you to use a 15mm hub in a 9mm/QR fork. You're trying to do the opposite.

I used an SP 15mm hub (at $200 substantially cheaper than SON) for my dynamo build, so it natively fits my 15mm forks, and I can also use it with adapters (like mentioned above) in traditional QR frames. So far its been reliable, but I only have about 20 total days with it.
