Spearfish Single Pivots, Instructions to Service Pivots

I want to service the pivots and replace the bearings on my single pivot Spearfish. (Mine is a 2013, blank ano, thu-axle) Does anyone know of a good instruction set for the replacement? I want something better than just the reverse of disassembly, hoping to find torque specs, what to grease, what to thread lock, ....

I already have the kit and know what bearings to use: four 698-2RS (8x19x6 mm) and two 6900RS (10x22x6 mm)

When I get back from Christmas travels, I plan to do this and write up basic intructions. Am going to email Salsa and see if they have info to share.

I was planning to do the same for my 2013 Spearfish after the new year. I am interested in your plans. Need to order parts first . I'll post up if I find any information.

I emailed Salsa. They sent me some basic advice plus a blueprint/diagram listing all the torque specs and surface prep recommendations. Generally for surface prep: grease bearings and the surgace they are pressed into, grease the shaft of pivots going through a bearing, and all threads get blue Loctite.

Just started the rebuild, finally. But I have run into a problem. One of the bolts in the rebuild kit is different. The upper/front shock mount was installed in the factory with a bolt with rounded outsides and flat insides. The new one has flat outsides and angled insides. I am emailing Salsa now to check if it is ok.

Just finished the rebuild and first test ride. It feels so much better, plan to write up the steps soon.

Did have to reuse the front shock mount bolt as my frame uses a bolt different than the kit had.
