    Salsa Casseroll Questions

What can I expect out of the formula hubs on the stock bike.

Are the hubs cup/cone or press in? It looks like there is room for a cone wrench on the end - but well I'm not sure.

What is the size of the rear dropouts on this bike? 126, 130, or 135. Thanks

130mm. It's right on the web site.

Hubs should be pressed in sealed bearings. Many sealed bearing hubs still have nuts on the axles requiring the use of a cone wrench for maintenance.

Yea, you are right about the 130 being on the site, I swear I looked :P

So anyone want to educate me about sealed bearings - is there any adjustments or things I should do to maintain them? I'm use to cup/cone and I'm not really sure if there are any gotcha's with this?

Most sealed bearing hubs cannot be adjusted. When you develop play you replace the bearings. Surly hubs have angular contact bearings and are adjusted like cup and cone. The nuts on the axle still need to be set corrected for sealed bearing hubs, however. They can affect how they roll if overtightened.
