is a PR 2x not possible?

    i like 2x's. here's what i'm running in to.

    *need boost cranks.
*biggest small ring a PR can take is a 24t.
*only shimano makes 2x boost cranks.
*smallest ring i can get from them is a 26t.
*shimano boost crank bolt spacing is a 96/64
*i've found 24t chainrings from other manufacturers but their bolt pattern
is 104/64 which is/was the "old" standard.
    *i cannot find a 24t ring with a 96/64 spacing.

does anyone have a PR 2x11?
    thanks and cheers, j-

I seem to remember reading something a while back that there isn't sufficient clearance on the PR for running 2x.

salsa's website says you can given certain constraints. i was going to buy shimano crank arms and put praxis rings on it. while talking to a praxis rep he is the one who mentioned shimano changed the bolt spacing. we looked it up while we were chatting and he said nope, now their, praxis, rings won't work on shimano's 2x boost arms.

and there is one thing that may work, but with as many variables that need to be met i'm too nervous to buy the parts to try it. rotor makes a 24t ring with, what i think, is proper spacing, but it's an oval ring. i don't know if i could use an oval granny with a round big ring. i don't know if there would be any shifting issue and am not willing to take a chance on it. because if there are issues i now have crank arms and a ring i don't want. not worth it.

    anyone using sram grip shift?

The alloy PR comes in a 2x, so I'd think it could be done in the carbon models. According to the specs it's a GX 22-34 Boost crank.
