    El Mariachi Fork Offset?

I was wondering if there are any opinions on best fork offset for the El Mariachi. I have a 2011 version and choice of Fox offset of 44mm or 51mm offset. Also can use a Reba at 46mm offset. Does anyone have any experiences with these different offsets? I am going to 15QR tapered and using standard offset to date but want to get best handling possible when changing forks. Thanks.

I maybe wrong, but I believe that the El Mar started using a 51mm offset with the 2014 year frame.

Not 100% sure either, but on bikes that they do spec a 51mm offset, like Spearfish and Horsethief, they specifically call out the use of a 51mm fork. They don't speak to it on the specs for El Mar.

I have a 2013 and use a Sid with 46mm. Seems good to me.

I emailed Salsa today. The frame is designed around a 45mm rake. So a 44mm fork will be slightly quicker handling and 46mm fork slightly slower handling, but I think we are splitting hairs here so should not be much different. Using a 51mm rake might be more noticeable, but I suppose it depends on usage. I am getting ready to devote it to bike packing and switch off with a rigid fork. So maybe the slower handling options might be better for my purposes.
