New question here. El Mar squish fork

What's working well for you guys?

I just took on a '15 EM SS with the stock (Chromoto) fork.

My first inclination is a light Rockshox fork. Does the 51mm offset (versus 45mm as the frame is designed for) make a noticeable/detrimental impact on the handling?

    I'm hoping for 15mm TA, 100mm travel, 32mm stanchions.

    Thanks in advance for insights...

I have a 2015 green EM. Im running a 45 off set 100mm Reba. I love this thing. Handling is great. I also have a 2015 Spearfish with a 100mm Sid . Honestly I cant really tell the difference. For the money you cant beat the Reba.

Actually I have 3 maybe 4 buddies that have EM's with 100 Rebas . Ive had a lot of bikes mostly rigid ss and I built this bike just to run a squish fork . Its by far my go to bike just love it.

+1 on the Reba. So easy to setup, rebuild, service...etc. Mine is an older dual air reba setup as 110mm travel.

See if you can pick up an XX version with the lockout, I've an older Reba XX and my wife has a SID XX for her ElMar when running front squish.

I got a white Reba that matches my SS frame for 350 bucks from Merlin Cycles. It seems nice after a warranty rebuild.
