    Colossal Fork challenge

Help me out here guys. I dont know what I am missing here!

I was building my Colossal Ti earlier today but encounter a bit of a challenge on the headset crown race installation.

Obviously the Colossal fork uses an old 1-1/8" standard steer tube but surprisingly the crown race part is 33mm in diameter. The 1-1/8 crown race won't slide all the way down as its obviously has 30mm diameter only.

    Any suggestion please?

    See pictures below for details...

Yes the Colossal uses a tapered fork in its own way.

Anyway, for those who are getting this frame, please make sure you get a specific EC44/33 lower headset to avoid any frustration during the building process.

My previous issue is that I am trying to re-use my existing Canecreek 44 headset that I previously used on a 44HT MTB. The crown race that BPN suggest wont work on that headset.

Instead, you would need a complete lower headset from Canecreek in an exact EC44/33 configuration which is only available in 110 version according to their website.

I use a complete Chris King Inset 8 instead on my build.
