    Bluto on mukluk options

I have a 2014 mukluk and am considering a couple things.

    1. Add Bluto fork for fun summer riding.
    2. Bluto and 27.5+ wheels and tires
    3. Keep the mukluk as is and buy a timber jack.

Price as roughly quoted for the upgrades to the muk are about $1100 and new bike cost is about $1400ish.

How does the Bluto perform and what is the ride like? I normally ride a 2011 Santa Cruz blur lt but it's for sale. I live in the Black Hills so some smooth single track and other trails are rocky with lots of granite and shale. I also do a fair amount of gravel and forest roads.

I also have a Fargo as my main gravel bike but would like a lighter rolling muk for more corny fun. I just can't decide. Both options seem good and not much price difference. Bike packing, fun, and some races (I'm not competitive just like the environment of races).

For only $300 more I would recommend getting the Timberjack. The Mukluk with 27.5+ tires will have a slightly low BB, and with the wide cranks can lead to a lot of pedal strikes. Timberjack seems like a great bike for not much money. I went out to the Black Hills Festival a few years ago and a plus bike would be great there, especially on the remote Forest Service trails.

The Bluto made my 14 mukluk ti into a bigger trail bomber that it already was. upgrade the wheels to thru axles and go. you can always build a nice set up 27.5+ wheels into it for the summer. I would love to get whisky carbon 27.5+ wheels built to fatbike hubs for this upcoming summer.

I really really love your ti Mukluk. I may just purchase the Bluto and start there. It might just be a fatbike summer.
