    Anyone seen one? I'm looking.

I'm also looking, but for a Large. So did Salsa have the same problems as Surly with getting frames shipped on time (AKA all of QBP)?
Anyone know when more will be coming?

I just purchased a 2017 XL Rival from REI. Good deal...$300 back on dividend and $150 back by using REI credit card. Picking it up Monday.

I have seen both the NX and rival in a large at my LBS. No XL though...

I ordered my xl rival online and they shipped to my local REI. My store does not stock them on the floor.

Yeah I looked online and they no longer have the XL as a option.. Was thinking about a 2016 deadwood also but realized the new 2017 fargo has 20mm more reach more than the deadwood and at 6'4 well I think it might be a better fit on the new fargo.

My LBS that sells Salsa showed zero XL as well, BUT it said they would be available 3/21...just xl complete bikes. I'd call your REI or LBS and verify. They all are looking at the QBP dealer page.

I'm 6'6", so I know exactly what you mean with the reach.

Availability seems to vary a lot if you're looking for a frame or complete... I am looking for a frame and just heard from Salsa that they're effectively sold out until 2018 model is released...?!

    Seems a little crazy.

Yep, I wanted a frame only as well...

I've had TERRIBLE luck trying to buy Salsa bikes in the past. It's like winning a lottery getting an XL. This is the third year I've tried. I had to just give up on a carbon Warbird and bought a RLT9 instead.

I'm pretty excited about this Fargo. It's not exactly how I'd set it up, but I'll replace as needed along the way.

My bike shop guy informs that he has put my name in on an XL Fargo GX. He reports delivery to be the first 2 weeks of April.

    Wish me luck, Boys.

    Not yet.....

My guy says that the "approximate shipping date has been confirmed" but wants to call next Wednesday to verify that its on the way...something about a "pending que".

    I'll post up.

Just adding another data point: I've got a large GX on order. My LBS called me last week to say they would start shipping to the bike shop as they become available, starting on 4/18 (yesterday). So, depending on how long the queue is, and how quickly they can ship them out, they should start to show up again soon.

My guy called yesterday, my XL Fargo GX is in and assembled. Hopefully, I can take delivery this week. I'll post up some pics. I'll be converting it to 29+.

    Now, I'm confused.....

As I've said, I'd really like to convert this to 29+. I have the wheel/tire combo selected, and I have a good handle on the boost offset for the front derailleur, but the boost crankset...I can't find any specific numbers. I want to keep the same SRAM components as much as possible. Can anyone help me on part numbers specific to the SRAM 2 speed GPX cranks that I may need?

I might be able to get by with the stock setup, depending on the tire selection, but if I need to go boost on the crankset, I'm at a loss.

    Cheers,

    CC

I would imagine that it already came setup with a boost driveline.

    Buell,

Thank you, but I don't think that it is. I'm under the impression that different crank components are necessary to provide the spacing. I'm going to go ahead and upgrade the rear wheel to 148 boost, and check out some WTB tire options, and ultimately determine if mods are needed for chain clearance.

    Wish me luck.

Make sure you have a source for the boost alternator plates...they're very rare apparently.

I'm sorry. I thought that both the 27+ and 29er versions would both be setup boost. It looks like the 29er is setup 135mm qr.
