    Instinct rear quick release?

Hi, i'm keen to see if anyone has swapped to a rear quick release and if you did what one have you used.
I have two wheel sets, some DT Swiss wheels I use on the weekends and the stock wheels I use with fast tires to ride 20km to work every day with. What this has done over 6 months is warn the anodizing off the axle thread making it start to grab on the thread no matter what type or how much grease is used.

I think in this case a quick release may be a good idea.

A Shimano AX-MT700 looks like it should fit? Looks the same length(172mm) and the same thread.

    Thanks.

You can def use Shimano SM-AX56 / 76. Haven't tested the MT700, but looks very similar. The only open question is whether the diameter around the lever fits inside the pocket on the frame.

But if you want to be absolutely certain look for a 56 or 76 series axle.

Cool thanks. The head size looks a bit smaller on the SM-AX56 / 76 at about 20mm so the same as stock.
The stuck length is 172mm and the SM-AX56 / 76 comes in 171mm and 177mm. Looking at the bike 175mm is the longest that could be used so it looks like the 171mm is the go.

    Thanks.
