    Bigger tires for a 2017 Thunderbolt 710

My current setup is: 2.3 DHF/2.2 Ardent Race on summer and 2.3DHF / 2.3 Spec GC during fall and spring.

I might be able to get a set of wheels with 29mm inner width so I'm looking for a slightly bigger tire to improve traction.

Would a 2.5WT DHF / 2.4WT DHR2 fit in my Thunderbolt? This would be my winter setup

For summer, maybe a 2.35 ardent race or a 2.5WT aggressor as a rear tire but I might be pulling my luck too much with the aggressor...

My LBS also sells Bontrager tires, but I don't know any except the XR4.

    Thanks

The XR Teams can use wider rims. 2.6 can use a 40. 2.35 a 35. At least the XR2 tires can. The SE tires can use less width. So it depends on your terrain makeup. And how much sidewall protection you'll need.
