    2020 Instinct Sizing

After a few years of waffling, Iím finally looking to pull the trigger on a new Instinct (2020 regular edition).

My only remaining hesitation is the sizing. I am somewhere between 5í9Ē and 5í10Ē. There are two different RM sizing charts floating around out there. One chart puts me squarely into the medium range, while the other clearly says a large.

So, at this point, Iím a bit spun around. Iíve heard people say RMís run small, but I havenít felt that on parking lot rides.

What have others chosen to do? I personally prefer to downsize bikes. Is being almost 5í10Ē on a medium to silly to even consider?

What if I went with a medium and lengthened the stem a bit?

    Thanks!

Iím 5í10Ē and Iím on a large. It depends on your leg length as the seat tube is long. I have the seat post almost all the way down, thereís only a 5mm gap. Apart from that everything else feels great

Thatís good to know. I donít know my actual leg length, but I would say I have a 30Ē - 31Ē pants inseam.

My main concern is with the reach. Iím not as flexible as others, so a more compact bike has always felt more natural.

I'm 5'10" and on a large. The dropper post is up about 20mm. There is no way I would want a medium.

Iím 5í7íí and on a medium and it is ok for me. I definitely donít want it to be shorter.

I'm 6'4" and used to ride an L 2015. Got a 2019 XL, that almost felt too big. Now it feels ok, but an L would also feel ok.
