2018 carbon thunderbolt Bottom Bracket Removal Tool?

My SRAM Gxp BB92 is pretty much toast so Iím going to replace it, but Iím not sure whatís the easiest way.

Since the bottom bracket cups have a sleeve attached that connects them, is there enough play to slide the Park Tool BB tool in there to hammer it out against the inside lip of the cup?

Anyone have some words of wisdom to share?

    Any help is appreciated!

I swapped the cranks on my Tbolt from the SRAM to Race Face Next SL and used the Park BBT-90 removal tool to knock out the SRAM cups, it actually blew them apart, but they came out. I skipped the sleeve when I put the RF BB in, that made things much easier.

Thanks for the reply once again! I ordered that tool last night, so now I feel better about putting a new BB in. The damn rear shock cups made me a bit hesitant about getting the B.B. cups out lol.

BOTTOM bracket came out no problem with that park tool, but to grease or not to grease the neW BB is the question?

I used a thin film of carbon paste, same as you'd use on a seatpost in a carbon frame. That seems to have worked well.

The BRT-003 from Real World Cycling has been a dream on my Altitude.

This VIMEO video link was invaluable to figure out the right combinations for removing the Shimano PF92 that was my Altitude, and installing a SRAM BB.

I also used pipe Dope when installing.

It is expensive for sure, but definitely took a lot of stress out of the situation.
