    Syncros Hardcore Post?

    I recently took my Syncros post out and took the seat off to clean the whole thing after years of neglect.
    When I put it all back together, I realized that the head is assymetric.
    One bolt attaches to the clamp higher than the other.
    Does it matter which one is facing forward?
    Anyone have a pic of a properly mounted one?

    I took a look at my setup.......

    and the the elevated section is towards the rear . You can also go to bikepro.com and see a pretty clear pic of the proper setup.

    BTW Did you happen to see the used Synchros seatpost auction that ended yesterday?

    There's also the fact its not actually a zero-offset design... the posts have a couple mm of setback to them, and head has the rear end a couple mm longer than the front.
