    Max tire clearance on 650B--->650B+?

    I was able to do a pseudo conversion on my P-29er (ritchey color scheme) to 650B+ using Velocity Blunt rims and WTB trailblazer 2.8 tires. It looks great and rides like a magic carpet. I was wondering if anyone has had success fitting these tires on a 650B frame? What is the maximum size tire that will fit the 650B+ frame?

    The clearance on the 650b frame is not that good. I'm running a 2.1 NeoMoto and have plenty of clearance. The 2.3 would likely fit but I'd not want to go much wider.

    Each bicycle owned exponentially increases the probability that none is working correctly.

    Hey tooth puller, do you have any pics of the p-29? Interested in doing the same thing. And how is the ride vs 29 wheels with 2.1's or so?

    Sorry for the late response. No pics as of now but I will try to take some. There is plenty of clearance to allow for tire run out. It also clears my Reba 29er just fine as well. Next step will be to build a set of 27.5 WTB scraper rims and mount trailblazers on those rims. Should give an even better profile to work with. I'll post more notes as I ride the bike more. I got distracted messing around with a pugsley.
