Country of origin of Syncros Products?

    Mainly wondering about their stems.
Love the look but would buy a Thomson if Syncros isn't made in the good ole' USA.

Is Ritchey Canadian? (they are owned by Ritchey now IIRC)

Made in Taiwan. I had a couple of their AM stems, and for the price, they were "OK."

Hey All: Marshall here, Product Manager at Syncros. Let me try to answer all the questions on the thread. First, I am a Canadian and live and work in Canada so there is still a major connection to Syncros' roots here. I know the original guys as personal friends and have worked with them since my days at Rocky Mountain 15 years ago. Pippin now runs Banshee bikes in Vancouver.
    1) Syncros is owned by Ritchey Design which is a privately owned US company. Tom Ritchey bought Syncros about 5 1/2 years ago. We operate independently in terms of product.
    2) Syncros was a Canadian company many years ago but was originally sold to GT around 1999-2000.
    3) All Syncros products are designed here and manufactured in Taiwan to our specifications and quality standards.

Yup, anymore nearly everything is made over there. I have some time on the Syncros DPS rims, and they've been holding up my hackery quite nicely. I loved the old stuff, and have been waiting to see what the long term has shown for the new stuff's durability and quality and I'm hearing alot of good things. I predict my fleet will be sporting a lot of Syncros bits as stuff wears out and new rigs get introduced.
