What's your most fun bike? (Pics encouraged)

We all got into mountain biking for probably the same reason, the fun. As our skills grow so does our passion. Some people like to race, some want to loose weight, and some might just loved being challenged. In the end though it all comes down to fun. You will always do it because it's fun.

As such many of us have been through several bikes and own more than one. I have owned a bunch, giant trance, anthem, specialized enduro, trek 4300, Kona unit-29er, and a bunch of others. But I have one that brings me back to the roots and is just plain fun to ride, and I could not care one bit about my strava rank when I am on it.

It is my Ragley Blue Pig. It's a 26 in, long travel, slack Hardtail. It's slow up the hills but an absolute blast. I cannot ride it without smiling.

A close second for me is my 120mm slack fat bike. These are the only 2 bikes I ride now. Got ride if everything else except my 2014 stumpy fsr. They are just fun.

The most freeride like fat bike I could make with available parts...

My CRF450X - but I don't have to peddle on that one to get to the top.

    No question for me.

I've had lots of fun bikes over the decades but can't think of any that were more fun then my current bike. Honestly, I've never had a bike that was not fun but "I" feel very comfortable with the 5" travel, 27.5 wheel size.

I enjoy all of my bikes, but this one gets used the most, so I guess I find it the most fun to ride. It's not light or particularly efficient, but it's super playful for a 5-inch travel bike, very capable in most situations, and just fun to ride. It works well on just about any trail, especially the trails I enjoy the most!

For overall thrills, distance traveled, and just quantity of mojo, my Nimble9 does it for me.

btw - that stunt in the background is a balance beam with a gap to a higher balance beam. I'm about 50/50 on it.

It might appear that I'm stuck on skinnies...

    ...not true.

But this is a close 2nd just because its purpose is different from bike #1. I can have a lot of fun being a little slower, sloppy, and careless.

3 seconds later I was in up to the axles. I wouldn't do that with the N9.

This one by far is the fun machine, since using Strava last year I've got over 3000 miles on the Mukluk, my other bikes combined haven't seen half that milage.

These days, I gotta say this one.
Mainly cuz I'm usually riding with my son when I'm on it, and also because I've learned more about bike handling in the couple years since I picked it up than in the decade previously riding bigger wheels...

While I love my Kona Process 153 and do most of my rides on it and do lots of fun stuff with it, I'm just always super stoked when i can pull out my old 2012 Transition TR450. It's old, probably ugly, but I just love this bike. I only ride it for park but it's a solid ride and has helped me improve my riding, definitly saved my a$$ a few times! I ride it at my local park and haul it to Whistler with me when I go.

This ride wouldn’t happen to push you up mountains without much human effort, would it?

Funny you should ask...I’ve riden this down on my SB130, but never up. It basically 4+ miles of trial moves. Amazing on the Decoy. Hike a bike otherwise.

That was included in this ride...

It was a massive effort for me. I ride my sb100 and 130 for 25mi/3k’ rides regularly. This was heavier in total output and technical difficulty. Technical uphills is a whole ‘nother level w an eBike.

This ride also included a red lined DH descent that’s one of the gnarlier in the valley (Bone Shaker):

So with an 160/165mm eBike this ride encompassed: XC, Trials, DH, and Enduro disciplines in the same 3.5h ride.

...in response to the OP, this a fun bike that opens up new challenges and massive efforts.

    Here’s another few:

    Just turned 50!
