... and if we just ... Video of singletrack race with slow motion faceplant made with Gopro

This is a video made with Gopro during a single track race in Oslo, Norway. I hade a treeclimbing, a spinn and a faceplant. This is the best singletrack race in Norway. Total length is 30 km. Video is 4 minutes and autentic. 1/3 never made it.

The race is Terrengsykkelrittet. I am back next year.

    Enjoy.

I have never seen so many people in one guy's way. You made some great moves to avoid most of them.

Sweet video, man! Looks like a tough race but it seems like a lot of those guys don't know how to ride a bike.

    Nice video..

Is it me or is YouTube slow? It takes me longer to buffer a video then it does to watch them. I have to buffer cause if I dont, I'll get like 15 seconds before it will have to buffer, then 15 sec, etc.. Ugh..

I've never been in a bicycle race, but I always thought the idea was to ride faster than everyone else, not pull over and let everyone go by.

Not limited to you. I have the same issue; I can get about 3 seconds of a 480p or higher youtube to play. On the otherhand I can play a full HD vimeo with no problem at all.

Okay - thats a cool video, but I have a few questions.

    1) What is the terrain like at the beginning of the video (is it like straight up a fjord?)? Do you have topo for that course? I'm trying to figure out why so many people are pushing what appears to some very rideable terrain.

    2) Why no XC full squish?

Cool video, it has a video game feel to it.

Nice vid. Saw more guys off of the bike than on them. Must've been a rough course. Way to go!

I am pleased to see you are enjoying the ride

    So was I.

You find the profile of the race here.

    http://www.terrengsykkelrittet.no/in...rticlenr=10285

It is not up from a fjord, but it goes up and down the whole way, so many of the riders are struggle to keep on going. High pulse in combination with rocks, roots and climbing does not make it any easier.

I am riding a Scott Spark 15 full suspension.

Bet that eye was a nice colour the next day. I currently have a nice fat blue lip caused by not seeing a low branch across the trail.

My favorite part was when you passed a guy like he was standing still, because you took the boardwalk/ bridge and he was off in the mud. Why would someone choose the mud? lol.
Don't let it get you down, but there's a good chance you were an accident.

Technical bikers are nice. They will let you pass and be polite. All the riders are nice to each other. If someone is going faster than you, you will let him pass and wish him good luck. Is anyone coming to Oslo to participate next year?

great vid and nice looking trail but you would of been better of putting Queens original song to it instead of that tragic crap annoying mix
