Nice vid! I ride that trail roughly 3 times a week, but I usually take the trail on the other side of the creek at ~2:30. Some parts beat me and my HT up

So that trail ties into OPS? Ive ridden OPS several times but don't think I have ever ridden Leon before. Might have to hit it up when I get back home When I moved to SA I never thought that it would have so many decent trails within it. Needless to say I have been pleasantly surprised.

yea that trail goes from op almost all the way to utsa now. through bamberger park. San antonio and the surrounding areas have a lot of great riding.

Camp Eagle looks like it will have some great weather and a swim in the Nueces is always nice!

How do you get there I just started riding op dont recall seeing any fun dirt like that. Just a butt ton of grass and trees and sad river crossing.
Fyi check out medina its super smooth but a very pretty trail follows the river. Trees pretty much provide total shade cover so dont matter what time you go. At the end of the paved trail dont follow the baby dirt trail leads straight to hogs...
    Fat birds cant fly
But they can jump rocks and roots ; )

You can get to those trails all sorts of ways. I park at the trailhead by Walmart (Bandera/Mainland), ride down the paved trail towards Bandera for a sec and drop in to the left. From there, the trails run on both sides of the creek but all on the east side of the trail. I cross the paved trail right past the OPS back "entrance" by the bowl and ride to/beyond Bamberger Park on the west side of the paved trail and creek. I've been riding this route for a while and still manage to find new trails every other time. Check out the map of my Tuesday ride for an easy reference iMapMyRIDE : Aug 30, 2011 8:18 PM in San Antonio, TX | Bike Map | MapMyRIDE
Just make sure you have sealant in your tubes and/or an extra with you...there are some nasty little things on the trail!
