Pink Parts Passion

I've been rockin' the pink bike for about 3 years, originally riding a Pink Panther Marin named Sheera Princess of Power.

This year, I decided to upgrade the bike for something a bit lighter, with an eye to have more of a race bike. There wasn't anything I liked in pink, so I decided on an ASR-5 Carbon with a custom paint.


In order to get it as pink as possible, I pimped it out with Industry Nines in full pink, pink Chris King headset and bottom bracket, Pinkslip Sram X0 drivetrain, Hope Tech X2 in pink, and a Salsa pink seat clamp.

Not only does it look pinktastic, it also rides awesome. It's wonderful on the climbs, fast on the descents and ways in under 25 lbs. The perfect compromised between fashion and function.

Do you have pink parts passion? Are you rockin' the pretty in pink?

I've always liked a good Elvis shade of pink. My newest helmet is pink, and it gets a lot of attention from the girls.

i'm not as fast as i used to be, so i had to switch to the slightly more masculine color of purple for my current build. I just can't back up the pink anymore.

There is a guy who posts regularly on the single speed forum that has a flourescent pink Dawes Bullseye. But I only have a little bit of pink. The bolt that holds on my chain tensioner and my cable ends are both pink..but the rest of my bike..as you can see..is not pink.

Here's my wife's bike and I also use it as my race bike. I have no qualms about riding a bike with pink parts.
