Pictures from Bergen, Norway (warning, many pics)

This summer I went to Bergen to visit a friend of mine. We had great weather and went on some epic rides in the local mountains.

I'll let the pics speak for themselves, these are from Vidden, Bergen (approx. 60░22'53.26"N 5░23'24.55"E)

These are from a trip we started near a mountain called Fl°yen (approx. 60░24'1.58"N 5░21'14.49"E).

That's some really cool-looking terrain! I like the combo of rider and scenery in these two.

Thanks! I guess they just took a break, they only stood there for, say, 2 minutes or so.

I'm really looking forward to the next summer, riding in our lovely terrain here in Norway. Too bad most people never get to enjoy the Norwegian nature, as it is really beautiful.

    Spectacular shots! Thanks for sharing.

A few questions; what's the story behind the tree (cutting)?
And how many kilometers did you ride per day?

That tree was growing in the middle of the trail, in a spot where the trail easily would be overgrown by trees like it (real tight spot).

I have no clue about how many kms we rode each day, but we spent 3-5 hours on each trip, I guess. Much of the time has (obviously) been spent taking pics.

    Greetings from Stavanger-

Cool photos--- I didn't know that the sun ever shined in Bergen.

Did you bike up to a mast station? If not, I cannot imagine how technical the climb was--- there is no such thing as clean singletrack around here.

The mast is on top of the mountain called Ulriken. There are a few trails up there, but we rode the cable lift up to the top.

Awesome photos! Brings back great memories from living in Bergen twenty years ago! Got my first mtb there in 86, and rode same mountains as in the photos. You lucked out with the weather though....

    Wow!!!

Thanks for sharing.........a ton of shots.

    neat stuff.

    Wow.

Those multishot composites came out great. 1

I like some of those pix...amazing

    That terrain looks great.

    Lots of cool scenery.

    Wish I could ride there.

over and over and over again...

Did I say over and over again?

    (1. thank goodness the composites came out great, I would suck to see 10 pix of each second in separate frames, two pix of the tree cutting was quite enough--but you did warn us)
