I thought religious discussion was a no no here?

You are correct. As some of you are aware, Ken is actually a card carrying member of the Pagans Motorcycle Gang, which is technically not a religion. Ken is also a 1%er as a matter of fact.

Just something to keep in mind, MCs do not generally consider themselves gangs.

Hmmm, seems like you're right. Here's some more info on them:

"Beginning as a non-violent club, it wasn't until the 1970s, under the leadership of John "Satan" Marron that the Pagan's became a player in organized crime. Despite having only between 200-250 members, the Pagan's are considered one of the "Big 4" MCs by Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. The Pagan's have made up for their small numbers by making the right friends.

The FBI views the Pagan's as an incredibly dangerous organization, largely due to their connections with gangs like the Aryan Brotherhood and the Italian Mafia. Members of the Pagan's are regularly tied to arson, bombings, and murders, and one of the gang's favorite hobbies is stockpiling machine guns. As with many of the country's better known MCs, the Pagan's often come into conflict with the Hells Angels. It is widely thought that the Pagan's are behind the 2005 murder of the Philadelphia Hells Angels chapter Vice-President."

Either way, I'll try to avoid messing with Ken.

    Wow, Passion is slow!

A few years ago, this would have been 2 or 3 pages back by now.

Ken is chillin in a cabin with some buddies right now. No cell reception. Sounds like he's having a better time than everyone else.

    Indeed.

    Hey, Ken-

Howzabout sending the Camelbak back? You've had plenty of time to test it, methinks.

This sucks. I loan a guy a Camelbak because he was curious about it in a thread. I ship it to him, no charge so he can try it out, and it looks like he's keeping it. He's had it for, what, half a year now, Ken?

    C'mon.

Since you shipped it, was the last name "Miner"? If so, I can help put you in touch since he doesn't cruise MTBR like the good ole days.
I believe so. Yeah, I'd appreciate it if you could contact him for me, have him get in touch.

And thanks, DJ, I didn't know. I hope all is ok.

    Gary,

I'm very sorry, brother. I don't get over here much. I was just thinking about you and you Camelbak last Saturday. It occurred to me I'd been using it for about a year and what a d-bag I was for not getting back with you.

It's has a year's worth of Ken-stink and Midwest dirt on it. The patch fell off fairly quickly. I'm happy to return it to you but I'd really prefer to buy you a new one of your choice: Mfg, model, size, color, etc. instead of returning yours with a year's worth of use on it.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go back to focusing on my pagan motorcycle activities and hanging out with the other 1%ers at my Ted Kazenski cabin in the backwoods.

Thanks to Pete and Victor for letting me know about this post.

Post Script: I sent you a PM with my cell # and email address.

Kris is doing okay. One of the two cancers returned after her bone marrow/stem cell transplant. The difference now is that her new immune system is responding better to treatment. She'll never be cancer free but she has a much longer life expectancy than she did pre-transplant. She has ups and downs but that's our new normal.

    I love happy pagan endings.
