One day, two rides, lots of flowers... Here's some photos.

My first ride was the longer one. We started in the Lunch Loop parking lot and rode up to the Gunny Loop and back down. Along the way we saw flowers and quite a few scaley things. Not a super long ride, but it was a fun getaway.

Then I went out for a another ride, shorter and a bit more playing. I only got a couple good shots in, but it sure was fun. Too bad the coyotes were too far away to get with the camera.

That's enough bandwidth damage for now. Another ride or two today and more this weekend, too. So grateful the rain has stopped!

He's just a bullsnake. Yes, a big one, but there is no noisy stuff on one end or fangs on the other; it's those guys that make me a bit cautious.

Very nice! Thanks so much for all the spring riding reports. Makes me realize just how much I love the desert, but it looks like we won't be doing our annual trip to the south-west this year. It's been a cold wet spring here in Alberta and riding season was just barely underway, now setback again with more snow.

Beautiful fauna, beautiful flora, beautiful smiles, and a bit if hucking for good measure. Thanks for sharing.

Is that two pics of two different collared lizards? I've only seen three in my entire life. Always a treat.

Both rides are in the Lunch Loop area of Grand Junction, Colorado (near Fruita).
