MIdwest Mountain Bike Summit in KC

The website for the 2004 Summit in KC is "unofficially" online. The organizers have done a fantastic job securing sponsorship from New Belgium & Dirt Rag, and have several other major sponsors that will be announced in the coming weeks.

If live music, AMBC racing, houligan "rides", guided rides, and advocacy meetings, presentations and guest speakers (one of Passion's own) aren't enough of a reason to attend, everyone who registers for the Summit will also receive a T-shirt and a New Belgium Brewery/ERTA customized pint glass.

The first 100 registrants will receive an TWO PINT GLASSES, and TWO FREE BEERS, on ERTA.

We're excited to be bringing this event back, and it's already setting up to be better than ever. Don't miss the fun.!

For more info, visit www.earthriders.org and follow the links.

    Thanks - I'm in!

Unlike last year, we're not having a baby that weekend. Even if something comes up & I can't go, I don't mind donating to ER, since you all have done so much for mountain biking. Now if only the weather cooperates...

    In addition to crappy weather...

    The trails are flat too....

On Friday night, we'll be riding some new trail, and some trails that are normally closed for mountain biking....

and of course, plenty of beer.

We're inviting interesting people to speak this year. Some guy named Chet Peach was to whom Dave was refering.

Then again, if me in a thong is what it takes to get you there Drewpy, consider it done.

    Who dat guy?

All I can say is that the hosts are horrible, the beer was terrible and the weather was crap!!

Aaaah who am I kidding ... Everyone was super friendly, Dave and Ken and the rest of the gang were superb hosts (Dave, thanks so much for opening up your house to me!). I can't make it this year, but send pics!!

    Kn.
I used to be with it. Then, they changed what "it" is, and now what I'm with is no longer "it". And whatever "it" is, is strange and confusing.

This year is shaping up nicely. We're a Dirt Rag Tour stop. Cannondale, Specialized and Trek/Fisher/LeMond are all stepping up and bringing their NORBA NCS rigs out.

In fact, we're *almost* to the point where we can offset soem fo the travel costs for our VIP advocacy speakers, so perhaps next year, we can talk you in coming back....
