Retro!!! That is awesome. Springer fork. Does the sissy bar in the back have "suspension" as well, or are those tubes just a way to adjust the height? Like it.

Yes, the tubes have springs in them that give the seat a pivoting kind of "travel". They do also adjust for height at the bracket on the dropout.

This is one of the reproductions that Schwin made a few years back. I have an original Stingray Fastback with the 5 speed shifter on 20" wheels but no suspension.

The Krates just look too kewl, its being shipped right now and the accessories will come a bit later. Will post up more pics later.

Hated those bikes, turned my first one into a bmx bike...they cracked like potato chips. If you had a GT back in my day then you had a sweet bike.

I've got an original "Lemon Peeler" that I'm in the processing of restoring. Dad picked it up for me when I was 9 or 10, paid $20 for it and someone had sprayed the whole thing black! I cleaned off the chain guard and most of the "Lemon Peeler" logo and paint is still there....

    Cool!
Had a couple old bikes like that to cruise around up at the lake when we were kids. If everything didn't get destroyed in the fire I'd go get em & shine them up. Good times.

I hate those bars! Had an Evil Knievel (sp?) bike that had those damn ape hangers on it. Tried to wheelie up onto a curb (didn't know how to bunny hop, much less bunny hop a bike that weighed as much as me... Wasn't always 240#!) and hit my eyebrow on the right handle. 16 stitches later... Loved the bike none the less for my incompetence, but still hate those bars! Cool retro bikes for sure! I find myself on craigslist weekly looking for a retro ride...

Ratrods whether bikes, bikes, cars, or tractors converted into motorcycles are cool just cuz they are exactly what the builder wants them to be! BUT, they are never ever finished!

A kid in my neighborhood where I grew up in the 70's had one of those, but with a steering wheel instead of handle bars. Similar to this

    But yours is very cool!
