    Got Another Newbie Started

Back in September I took one of my coworkers on a ride on his old department store bike and he was instantly hooked. He bought a Rockhopper 29er, lights, the works...

Now, he invited another guy from work. Same scenario... Old rigid Iron Horse and first time ever in the woods.

Today, he went with me to the bike shop and he bought a Rumblefish. I can't wait to see him hit the same trail on that bike. It'll be like night and day.

I think the hardest thing about getting started is not knowing anyone. Seems like they got past that hump already so hopefully their love for the sport will be like yours.
Just stick it in granny and start grinding.

The first guy is always hittin' me up for night rides.
The new guy is just as enthusiastic. Plus, we all work together, so it's always bikes bikes bikes at lunch and break time. Makes for a fun day.

Good work on the noobs. I'm trying to convert a roadie to dirt right now.
It's such a fine line between idiocy and genius.

Nice job adding to the fold! I got a co-worker interesting in cycling about 2 yrs ago. He's now a CAT3 roadie and CAT2 mtb'er. Definitely improved his life! We're now the best of friends and talk bikes every day at work too.
