Cross post: An Amazing Schwinn (and others) Colllection

It was suggested that I cross-post this here, so here goes.

While visiting my family in Pittsburgh, I went to this place - Bicycle Heaven. What an amazing collection of mostly old Schwinns, plus many others. The Bowdens (the spaceship-looking ones on the wall) are worth up to $15,000 each, apparently!

Thanks for sharing. That is an amazing collection. My Mom & Dad had two old Schwinn's that were probably worth a lot more than the $10 a piece that they took in a yard sale. I wish I had taken them but I waited around a little too long and missed out.

I was in there a week or two ago.

You will probably(most likely) never see as many original Stingrays in one place as you will here.

Tons of cruisers, Paramounts, etc all around. The dude even has tons of cool posters and ads and whatnot!

    It's quite awesome and awe-inspiring.

It was way beyond anything I expected to see. I definitely gave a donation. So much cool stuff in there, and he's totally informal about it. You just wander around and look at the stuff.

Awesome pics, thank you for sharing Are those Bowdens aluminum or steel. They must be pretty hefty if they are steel. Never mind! I just did a search. They are made out of fiberglsss.

That's a good question. The sign said not to touch, so I didn't. I'm thinking steel, based on the time they were made.
