    Canada Del Oro

My apologies if I'm posting this is the wrong forum but I couldn't find a forum that I thought was more appropriate and there were no reviews in the trail section.

Has anyone ridden the trails at Canada del Oro in the Southbay? if so, can you tell me:
1- how were the trails? technical, easy, physical
2- was there much tree cover or shade?
3- what's the best route to take? (clock-wise or counter clock-wise).
4- is there a charge for park entrance or parking? or where's a good, safe place
to park for free (within a few miles of the park)
5- any secret or non-posted trails?

any info is much appreciated. TIA

I ride this once last thankgiving shortly after it opened.

Fairly tame wide single track and fire roads. Serious steepness on the
2nd fire road climb(if you ride counter clockwise), but not too long. If I remember it's only about 7 miles total loop.

Tree cover/shade: about 50/50. Didn't pay much attention as it was November.

I rode counter, but passed someone riding clock wise up single track.
I heard it's good to climb quasi single track to top and come back the same way.

parked at the main gate , no fees if I remember correctly. should be safe for spring/summer.

no other legal trails I know of, but it borders some other park which I cannot remember, calero maybe, but thats strictly no-MB.

It was fun to explore a new trail and I will probably go back someday now thats its ridden in a little.

    Enjoy
