It was a bit of a whirlwind trip: Sunday

I recently posted up some pics from a ride on Saturday out at Muleshoe with Stacy, David, and David's brother, Mark, who was in from Utah for a visit. Mark was here for 5 days; we rode 4 of those days. Coming directly from a season of snow-boarding, I think saddle soreness may have been the worst of it for Mark. But he was a real trooper, and enjoyed everything we tossed at him. And toss, we did.

Sunday saw us at Barton Creek Greenbelt. We had some recent rain, so the creek was up. That made for some wet crossings, and for lots of foot traffic around the swimming holes. We spent most of our time on some trails-less-travelled, as Mark checked out my Titus Motolite on some tricky spots.

And I forgot my camera. Can you believe it?! The pics below are from Mark's little pocket digital. I actually kind of enjoyed its smaller size and quicker shutter response time. I think the quality is good, too.

I have a funny story to share. I figured this was a good place for it, given the flexed arm muscles in that next-to-the-last picture.

A couple of nights ago, my son (who is not quite 5) and I were goofing around, flexing our muscles in the bathroom mirror. He says: "Mom, when I grow up, I want muscles as big as yours."

I love the gender role-busting in that scenario!
