Average riders having fun on the dirt in NM

A couple of us took a short 1 hour road trip from El Paso up to the Las Cruces, NM area to experience some different trails. We had one rider down about to pass out and luckily some off-roaders we met offered to give him a ride back to the parking lot. We pretty much rode all the trails in the area that day, which meant for some sore legs the next day, but it was worth it!

Thanks for this video, very cool indeed! I used to work with a lady that was from L.C. and always bragged about how much fun it was to ride her dirt bikes out there.

My wife's mom is living in El Paso, so if we plan to go there anytime soon, I'll hit you guys up for a ride / showing up there.

Looks like a lot of fun and nice video. Too bad one in your crew didn't think he needed a helmet.

It's not your head, so just live and let live. Deal?

OP: Thanks for the stoke! I definitely miss the trails at home.

It doesn't affect me other than raising my insurance rates, but it might profoundly affect some kid who is on the fence about wearing a helmet or not. http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=111566

My opinions don't affect you so take your own advice.

Well considering most riders wear a helmet, I think most younger kids will get the message.

I'm certainly aware that your opinions don't affect me. I'm not telling you to change your opinion. You're perfectly entitled to it. Just saying that it's not particularly necessary to bring it up to somebody who has obviously made his own decision in the matter. You saying anything will not change his mind.

Weird, but I didn't even notice until you mentioned it. He's actually the kinda-newbie who wasn't able to complete the ride. Good thing he missed all the fun, techy stuff during the return trip to the parking lot.

No problem! I know I'm gonna miss the desert riding once I move out to east TX in a few months.

Oooh man. That stinks! I'm in ABQ for school, so I've still got some desert riding, but I sure do miss home.

I second the comment about great song choice, by the way. RHCP always does me right!

    Thanks.

I use Sony Vegas 64-bit. The effect used at 1:22 was simply a contrast adjust, set to about 50-100% above normal. I barely started using the software this year so I'm a complete newbie when it comes to that kind of stuff.

    Beautiful area and video!

Back in the day (err...mid 90's) I used to run/ride around Las Cruces. Wasn't very developed at the time, but seem to have mega-potential.
