Nice pics, seems like decent Vegas weather to be riding in.

    "we were somewhere around Barstow..."

You just gave me a decent reason to go to Vegas.

Riding in the desert is so much different than riding here in the southeast.......No trees so you can really go crazy and lean into the turns.

    Thanks for sharing.

True. My wife and I just came back from Vegas 2 weeks ago. We hired a guide to show us around and to hang back with the wife while I went ahead. I just love how open it is without trees. Definitely planning to go back there someday (not for the strip, I HATE the strip).

Where was this? I've done lots of road riding in Vegas but have yet to take the mtn. bike there.

Where is this at in Vegas? I was in the Red Rock Canyon area in November and couldn't think about anything except how I wished I was mountain biking. I go to Vegas every year for a company trip and I don't drink and don't gamble a whole lot so I'd like to get out this year and try and do some riding if possible.

Cottonwood area, if I remember correctly. On the way out, if you do it right, you dirt surf the "Three Mile Smile," a sweet piece of singletrack.
