I always wanted to try the Mountain Bike thing, since my best memories from childhood have a bike in it.

I got into snowboarding when I was 10 years old and loved going fast.

Then I Moved to Colorado and got into rock climbing and loved the athletic movement.

Then I moved to New Hampshire and got into 4 wheeling, yeah I know, don't knock it til you try it, I built a rock crawler from the ground up and it was a huge accomplishment for me. I loved building something and seeing how it preformed. I never thought I could be so scared going 3 MPH.

Now that I'm older and fatter, thought I would do something more healthy and since I will be moving sometime in the near future I thought I would downsize my possessions.

I sold the rock crawler and I just bought two used bikes from Craigslist a couple weeks ago for my girlfriend and I.

Now I'm starting to take these bikes apart and I figuring out what everything does.

I've gone on a few rides now and I'm hooked. It blends all of the things that I love from all of the things I'm into all into one.

I'm just writing this as an introduction of myself since I have already used this forum to decide on the bikes and some of the parts that I bought and I feel that you guys have put a great resource together that I will be using a lot. So thanks!

I already started machining some replacement parts that where either broken or missing from the bikes I bought.

My girlfriends arm on her first ride. Sweaty and bloody, but couldn't stop smiling.

    Haha... Congrats!
It's cool you can make your own parts!

Looks like your girl is a keeper too! She's bleeding and she has a smile on her face! Kudos to her!

    Have fun riding!
