And one and two, and one and two

When I was little I thought his tight workout stuff was weird but I was a parochial suburban kid.

He was the archtypal Energizer Bunny who pulled us all along.

Jack Lalanne, running up those steps to heaven as we speak.

Actually, scratch that, he's probably made it already, given St Peter a stopwatch, gone back to the bottom and started doing laps just for the hell of it.

    My Favorite Jack Lalanne moment..

I was in San Fransico on a business trip. While in my hotel room getting ready to make my rounds to all of my customers, Jack made an apperance at a local TV station and was showing off some excercises. He asked the local TV host to do some of the tough sit ups he was doing. I remember the TV host couldn't even get one done. I then took a good look at what Jack was doing and realized I couldn't do more than two of what he was doing either!! Jack was 86 at the time.

RIP Jack; you made the world a far healthier place than it would have been without you.

Waiting tables in Morro Bay one night, Jack was my guest. He and his wife were enjoying a glass of wine making small talk. It was funny to note, that while seated at the tale, he occasionally flexed his pectoral muscles. The flexing did not stop until he got up and left the restaurant.

He was so cordial and cool - a super cool cat..
