My passion: Icehouse Trail Southern Utah

My passion is this almost unheard of trail, Awesome descent off the mesa to the valley floor. Starts out pedally and ends flowy and super fast for the last couple miles. enjoy

Sweet trail... IMO chest mounted cameras make for the best video.

Great perspective! Can you post a photo of your camera set up?

    Thanks

Its a couple miles north of st george utah, Almost virgin singletrack.

heres a link about info on it http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=655248

You can loop it and make it like 14 miles but if you have a loving wife that will drop you off its well worth the shuttle.

Had the chest mount go pro hd mounted upside down to get a better view of whats ahead, needed to move it up a hair more though. Crazy fast and technical when coming off the mesa

    Awesome

I LOVE St George, Utah. Great trail. Another reason to go back to St George, Utah in the Fall. I wish I could find a way to live in that area year round but I'm stuck in the mucky side of the NW for now.

That trail looks sweet. Looks like really fast and flowy goodness...we will have to try and add this to our spring trip up there.

Great looking trail, nice and raw.

That video angle freaks me out a little. Those long arms flopping around from the corners of the frame remind of Freddy Krueger in the alley scraping his blades along the wall.

    You guys were rockin it.

That's some old "virgin singletrack" right there...

    2003, shortly after BM opened.

]Yeah I've thanked her and bryce for it in the past. Yeah its been around for a very long time. Its just been forgotten and negletted. So the last few months we've takin it under our arms and cleaned it up. That's why its so narrow and faint. 6 months ago there was hardly a trail there. There's a thread over in the utah forum about all of it.

nice vid, with nice music. that looked a blast. those rock "gardens" at the beginning reminded me of our pesky texas rockage.

This trail just doesn't "feel" like one that requires body armor. However; there are lots of embedded rocks just off the trial that are hidden by weeds. Any departure from the trail could mean a superman departure from your bike. It's too fun to slow down on the bottom part but I'm always thinking, "a wreck here is going to require some time in a cast or splint."
