That's pretty crazy, I was looking at an Outback a little while ago, and it claims around 29 mpg. The Titan claims around 17... Did yer Outback have a leak?

hmm...my first bike was a trek antelope,. but I wouldn't wish that on anyone! went from there to a used too big stumpjumper. i'd say--take her to a shop. and make sure it fits!

My wife's frame is at the bike shop right now for BB facing. Her old Novara was too small, I told her I was looking for a new frame but what I really meant was "I have no self control and will buy a new frame, get it powdercoated and buy enough parts to build a whole new bike". Should be all built by the end of the weekend. Pictures of hers and mine then! If you're lucky you can see her ~40lb Giant hybrid too!

    Not dirt bikes.

These obviously aren't our trail bikes (although the san jose is a blast on singletrack with different tires). But we rode to lory state park at her pace from our house today about 30 mi round trip. She is quite excited that she made it up all the hills and had no issues today. Her bike is a globe live 2 (8 speed internal geared city bike), mine is a older bianchi san jose, set up fixed today. I am not sure which was worse, climbing hills at 42-17 without leaving her behind, or spinning down them at 35mph while shes coasting down at 40. That rack on her bike was quite convienient carrying our picnic to the top.

Did i mention it was her idea and although this wasn't our original plan it was also her idea to keep going all the way to lory? oh and that she is just over 3 months pregnant? It was fun, and shes actually going to be hitting the trails with me the first time wednesday (assuming she doesn't feel the other half of pregnancy and is sick)

That's a yurt at a Snohomish County Park in Washington State. Lots of yurts at different Oregon and Washington state parks, as well. Great alternative to camping if you're feeling soft!

    Awesome bikes, bcpedaler.

But I must ask, why a Topeak advertisement on the side of a beautiful rustic cabin? I would think a corporate logo clashes somewhat with the aesthetic.
