Hey, how does that Hannibal Lector mask work? Not for preventing you from eating people... but for keeping your face warm. I was looking at those when I was shopping cold weather gear. I went with the full insulated balaclava but I can't breath when I pull it up over by nose or mouth. So far, down to 5 degF, not a problem, but I suspect below zero, I'll need to warm the air a bit before it goes down the old windpipe.

Great pics, btw. I love the second one.

I'll have to ask Jason next time we ride. this was his mask back in April when we got caught in a freak sleet/snow/50 mph wind storm in the higher elevations of Pisgah.

As a matter of fact Ells hooked me up, just got my replacement chian stay Friday...haven't installed it yet, been busy, plus its torn down to receive an AM1 from the Fat man in red.
I was going to post over in the EllsBoard about it. Building a Warranty 1 Part at a time! Major Props to Ryan @ Ells & Brad over at Gusto Cycles (many thanks)....yeah i bought my frame off Ebay, so i was kinda worried that i'd get screw'd hard by E...Not the case at all. a couple bills dropped (still cheaper than i thought it'd be) The stay wasn't the 06 redesigned stay thats going on the Epiphany, that Lidarman got but it is beefier in than the one i broke. they've got some supports in the void, and if this one breaks Ells will replace it.

Glad you were able to get your replacements. The AM1 should work nicely on your ID. I am hoping to get a Z1 SL or possibly a 66 SL sometime early this spring when the prices drop a little. Looking forward to seeing pictures of your ID with the AM1 and new chainstays.

What type of cam did you use for the black and whites?

I <3 the grainy effect on them.

Some were taken with my Canon SD200 and a couple were taken from Carson's Olympus Stylus 500... the washed out looking ones were taken in the cold rain and fog... so i threw all of 'em into photoshop and made them duotones and added some grainy qualities along with fuggin' with the contrast and brightness a little.

Get off the Desk, go ride!
Under-appreciated indeed, but my wheels have been giving it some well deserved attention here lately.

    Yo, Brado1

Did I understand correctly ? Ellsworth made you pay to replace your cracked chainstay ?

What did they say about it and how much did it cost you ?

Because of the fact that i bought the frame off ebay (even though new/never built) it was not from an Ells dealer... i became a "second owner", and warranty-less... So yeah i had to pay for the replacement part. it was under 300 for the replacement, but now i've got a warranty on that piece.

To a point it sounds like a drag, but I suppose it could have been worse.
    Enjoy your bike.
