Hope Advice for a new bike (Raleigh?)

Hello everybody, i'm new here in the forum, I'm looking for a bike because i want to start going out with friends and i don't understand much about bicycles

I saw that Raleigh bicycles are a good option, but i'm not sure tu buy this brand because i don't know much more about the others.

Do you now any other similar brand?? i just cannot decide!

    Thank you so much,

    Sincerely,

    Jose

Raleigh is good. Was my first MTB as well (M400). Make sure your bike shop has competent staff and you're golden.

Btw, you may want to try the Beginners Corner or Bikes and frame discussion.

I gotta agree. My first road bike is a Raleigh (mtb is KHS), and it's a great bike for the money. Pretty much any bike that you can find at the LBS will suffice for a beginner's bike.
Sometimes, I question the value of my content.

I've been riding for about half a year, and my first bike was a 1999 Raleigh M50 hardtail... I loved it, since than I upgraded to a 2009 trek 4500 and now a 2010 Trek 4500, and can honestly say I like the way the raleigh frame fit me best!, the trek felt a little weird and took some time to get used to.
