    Sore rib muscle

I might have strained my right side rib muscles during biking. It hurts whenever I cough or lying down on bed.

    Does anyone have this problem?

I thought you were taking a hiatus in the 2019?

I damaged my intercostal muscles on my left side over two months ago and they are still not fully healed. It took about a month before I could sit up or sleep w/o pain. Now they only bother me when I twist or turn a certain way. Mine was from impact, but I'm sure they could be damaged from twisting.
How can this mean anything to me, if I really don't feel anything at all. I'll keep digging, till I feel something.

I don't know why the muscles hurt so much. I never crash the bike last week

Sounds like TB - you may be contagious and should consider self-exile until you get better.

Sounds more like a sore brain muscle.

    Try using it more.

Go see a physical therapist or chiropractor. There are different treatments for rib strains, rib muscle rips and broken ribs. Proper therapy (stretching exercises) done regularly will reap long term benefits: quicker healing, fewer future complications, and less scar tissue.

No TB. Although I actually had TB and bronchitis as a toddler. My grandmother spent a small fortune to buy antibiotics for me.

Yes I had it after crashing last year. It sucked.

Cupping helps, so does taking deep breaths on occasion and keeping yourself hydrated. Find a good massage therapist or PT who does cupping.

See if your doctor will remove a few ribs for you. It seemed to work pretty well for Marilyn Manson.

    I think chloroform is involved.

If it's a spare rib, get rid of it as suggested. Otherwise, stop coughing and lying down until you heal up.

    Happy to help. You're welcome

NO. suck it up buttercup, we all deal with pain. if you can walk, eat, and crap, and post on mtbr the pain is not that great.

Methocarbamol is a skeletal muscle relaxant with sedative effects. The exact mechanism of how methocarbamol works is not known. Methocarbamol is presumed to work by depressing the central nervous system, leading to relaxation of muscles.
