    how to prevent wrist pain?

Last 2 weeks have been experiencing sharp pains in the right wrist.
I love riding down the rough stuff...I'm sure this contributes to the pain.
Does anyone have any suggestions to prevent this?
Does a wrist brace help? What about lever positions?

    Thanks in advance

I've had pretty good luck using bars with more sweep--10+ degrees. I like the ones that sweep forward first, so they don't move my grips too far toward me. I.E. OnOne Fleegle, or Ritchey's new WCS swept flat bars. Relaxing your grip can help but if you're riding rough stuff it might be hard to do. Gloves with good median nerve padding like Specialized BG can help, depending on the root cause of your pain. Ergon grips helped me, too, and I liked running bar ends for a different grip on long climbs when I used to ride more in areas with long climbs...obviously, I've had wrist and hand trouble for a while and tried lotsa different stuff. I'd recommend gloves and/or Ergon grips and/or bars with sweep first off as most applicable to wrist pain due to rough descents.
