    661 Chest Protection

Have a dislocated AC and was looking for upper body protection that isn't too bulky or geared towards DH; I am going to be riding up just as much down. More specifically something that offers clavicle protection along with the chest and ribs. I was looking at the 661 Coresaver but I can't tell how thick the soft padding is, not sure how much it would protect.
    Anyone tried it?

PS: I am aware that there is no sure way to prevent clavicle breaks and that the accepted knowledge is that they break when falling on outstretched arms. I dislocated mine by falling directly on my scapula (upper back) and it popped out.
