    Firebirds cracking

Last fall I found hairline cracks in my front triangle of my Firebird, where they've added the brace in the +2013 versions. I was not totally shocked considering the abuse I give my bike. I had it welded and now it is a stout shuttle bike.
But, my wife just found cracks in her 2012 frame. I don't think she's ever used 95% travel, let alone, bottomed it out! It is in the exact same spot as my frame, but she has the retrofit 'brace'.

It is kind of frustrating. There shouldn't be metal fatigue in 3 years and it isn't ridden that terribly hard. I'm only allowed on it to test the drivetrain in a parking lot so this time I am not to blame.

Pivot (or OnTheEdge.ca), you got any old stock medium rootbeer front triangles that are mint (minus the cracks and the 1 dent when I took the top shock bolt out and it fell into the downtube ) ?

My 2011 Lg Firebird cracked in the same place. My LBS was kind enough to broker a deal with Pivot to get a M6 at a deal. Lucky.

Pivot and OTE have both been awesome. Both offered to help out even though I'm out of warranty. Too bad we are in a global Firebird shortage
