    Wisp Opening Date

Wisp resorts Freeride park in Maryland is opening this weekend ( May 9th). Its only about 1.5 hours away from Pittsburgh. The place isn't my favorite place to ride ( mostly because of the slower than usual chair lift) but i'll take what i can get right now. Can' wait to hit some downhill trails.

Wisp is an awsome place to hit the dh.
    The lifts do suck!!!!!
    Super Slow!!!
So, the way I solved the problem, I went all mountain bike, and my wife drops me off at the top, I ride up and down for a few hours, then she picks me up at the bottom!
It is a win win! I get great exercise, and I can do some sweet DH!
Plus, as an extra bonus, it is free, so lift pass!
I go down there alot, my in-laws have a place right across from the slopes on the lake, so if anyone wants a tour shoot me a message.
There is also some nice single track about 15min north. It is only 8 miles, but nice!

Rode Wisp for the first time today and must say, I am pleasantly suprised with the good dh trails. Some steep, rocky and technical sections made for a fun day. I have to agree with the above posts though - the chairlift is terribly s l o w.
