What is the greatest vertical drop in Eastern Pennsylvania?

    From a purely topographical view.

Potential candidate: North MountainóLookout Tower west to Beech Glenódrops almost 1800 ft in under 2 miles. About 19% average slope. Not sure if there's any trails here. Big drop though.

Haha! I've definitely had some thoughts about a ski resort at North Mountain. From the north edge of the plateau heading north down the mountainódrops 1500 ft in over 1 mile. A 1500 ft vertical would be the greatest vertical drop among Pennsylvania ski resortsó almost 50% higher than the next highest in the state. Higher than Montage, Elk, Blue Mountain. The same as Windham in the Catskills.

Biking-wise, there's tons of potential 1500 ft+ lines throughout these mountains.

Maybe not the greatest, but it's got steep covered. The Delaware Water Gap has a 1200ft vertical relief in under half a mile! Yes those are cliffs and talus slopes.
