I'd like to buy a kayak, but I did have to race in one at the Chili Challenge back in October last year (19 miles by bike, 2.2 miles by kayak, 5.25 miles running). Took 8th in men's, not too horrible considering it was the second time I had ever been in a kayak and the first time was 5 years ago. Lots of fun though, I'm thinking about buying the kayak off my friend, it's a 14' touring model, made by Perception (I think).I imagine white water is a whole other world though.

    damn!

cool shot, that sure looks like fun.

lets see i used to have other hobbies but i grew to old for skateboarding and snowboarding just seems so damn expensive these days that i hardly ever go anymore...

at least we live in an area where i can bike year round or i probably would have to get another hobby. i'd really like to try XC-skiing more but winter dosen't seem to want to cooperate with those plans.

I would love to get in to the kayaking. It looks like so much fun. Unfortunatly, my free time and disposable income are in short supply. But I do go tubing down some creeks like the Yellow Breeches once or twice a year! Anyhow, in addition to working full time and being a dad of two, my wife and I have been doing some hashing events this past year. That's always a great time if you like trail running and beer. check out this..http://h5hash.com/ , http://lvh3.com/ , http://www.readinghash.20m.com/

PA has a lot of good fishing spots so I do a good bit of fishing. The Laurel Mtn. area has some really good mountain biking and fishing.

Had to add a Pic! You should see the other side of this rock! it's straight down with a left turn. Your rear tire remains on this rock while you turn. Scrub-a-Dub-Dub~~~~

Mountain biking, hiking, kayaking (ww and sea), and snowboarding are my big 4 expenses. Fortunately this year, snowboarding is not requiring much of a financial commitment.

Nice picture and you are a fanatic going over that water...

fall in the middle of winter! A group of us kayaked Nescopeck Creek from Honey Hole road to 309 last Saturday morning. No waterfalls that big. We had recreational kayaks but still had a great time!

no, water was so high only had to get out once on a 1.5 hour ride, now usually...it has many more take outs. Last week was the best ever only once out but my record is getting our 17 times to walk around stuff.
