    Vermont Mountain Bike Festival

5th ANNUAL VERMONT MOUNTAIN BIKE FESTIVAL BRINGS MOUNTAIN BIKE ENTHUSIASTS TO WATERBURY, VERMONT

Join us for an exciting two day event including: group rides, skills clinics, kidsí activities, industry expo, bike demos, shuttles, BBQ, beer garden, and raffles.

The Stowe Mountain Bike Club (SMBC) in conjunction with the Vermont Mountain Bike Association bring you the the 5th Annual Vermont Mountain Bike Festival (VMBF). Join us at the Ice Center in Waterbury, Vermont, on July 14th and 15th, 2012. The VMBF is Vermontís premier mountain biking event, bringing riders together to enjoy Vermontís finest trails as well as industry manufacturers and retailers with booths and demo products. Proceeds from the 2012 event will benefit projects at the Perry Hill trail system in Waterbury, Vermont.

For two jam-packed days, the VMBF will be home to exciting events catering to beginner and expert cyclists alike. VMBF is family friendly and will also offer kidsí rides lead by Wheels Around Waterbury, a local summer camp that teaches kids mountain biking skills. Local shops and industry vendors will be on hand to share their products and provide demos.

This yearís festival will be catered by Market Cafe with local food being offered a la carte all day Saturday and a BBQ plate dinner Saturday evening. Dinner is included as part of the registration cost. And even better news, a beer garden is in the works, replete with discounted draft beer!

The mission of the VMBF is to celebrate mountain biking in Vermont by bringing people together to participate in recreational mountain bike events, and a festival to bring the community together to advocate an active outdoor lifestyle and promote the mountain biking trails and riders in Vermont.

    Great Mtn Bike Festival....

A few of us from NEPA area went in 2010 and 2011.....really great riding...you get to enjoy some very different riding locations as part of the festival including Perry Hill, Stowe, Sugarbush, Mad River Valley, and Hinesburg......we have combined the festival with rides earlier in the week at Kingdom Trails and Millstone and a few other areas in Northern Vermont. I'm registered for this year again!

Here is a write up of last years trip: http://forums.mtbr.com/vermont-new-h...ip-732470.html
There are two paths you can go by but in the long run........

Thanks Jeff, we have had a number of people from Eastern PA who have come to the festival.

The purposes of the festival is to introduce riders to some of the great riding in the state. Most people here about Kingdom trails, but there is so much more. This will be the last year the festival will be in the Waterury/Stowe area for a few years. Next year the festival will move to another location in the state. So if you want to know about riding in central VT come on up and join the fun.

    Good job!

    I'm glad it's posted here...

...can never have enough places to hit for fun!

But I kinda see your point, not much banter about it here in Pa!

I have been to the V state and raced/rode my mt bike there, was a hoot, but I'm saving my va-kay for nearby R.I. and Moto Trials national event.

Sorry guys was just using free resoources to advertise and highjacked your forum to do it. We have done this the last few years and have actually had about 15 to 20 people from PA come on up each year to enjoy the fest. As you can see from Jeffskimontana (a PA guy) he has had some fun at this event in the past.
